Head outside and play with a ball for 5 minutes. Might be a soccer ball, basketball, tennis ball, rugby ball.

Do some passes or kicks with a family member. Or maybe play on your trampoline with a ball.
Science-Today

We know that force is a push or a pull. You have explored how force made objects move. Today we are going to look at Friction and what effect that has on movement.

Watch: Friction is a Force.

Now explore on your own. You will need:

Toy cars or Duplo cars or Lego cars

3 ramps the same length.

Variety of textured materials to create friction- For example: handtowel, sandpaper, rubber grippy mats.

Tape measure.(Optional)

To Start:

One ramp is free of material. Cover the other two in a different material.

Line up your ramps side by side.

Make sure your ramps are the same height. If they are the same height they should be on the same incline (angle).

Now using your cars let them go down each ramp one at a time.

What happens?

You might like to measure from the end of the ramp to where the car stops.

Which goes the furthest?

Can you change the angle of the ramps. What difference does this make?

Have fun!

Arty Shapes

Today we are going to make pictures using shapes.

We know that you have probably done this before but if not you can give it a try now.

Famous artists use shapes in their art work and create amazing and unusual pieces of art.

This painting was by Pablo Picasso. How many shapes can you see?

Go to Seesaw for the instructions for you to create your own Shape Art.
