IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Patiki Families

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

(Sorry about how ‘wordy’ this message is, please take your time reading)

This is a final reminder that if your child is coming back to school under Level 3 you must fill in
the doc that Mike has sent out.

Please ensure that you fill in this form if your children are returning to school next week.
Do not fill in this form if your children are staying at home.

Please Remember:

Where possible, students should remain at home connected to distance learning.
Where parents or caregivers need to, they can send their children to school.
Schools will be a safe place for children to go to learn if their parents need to return to work,
or the children cannot learn at a distance.
Children who are able to, should remain home and learn via distance.

Below are the details if you haven’t yet tuned into the TVNZ learning channel:

More options for watching Home Learning | Papa Kāinga TV
Home Learning | Papa Kāinga TV is free to air on TVNZ channel 2+1, TVNZ on Demand,
as well as on Sky Channel 502 and Vodafone TV.

It can be live streamed at tvnz.co.nz/livetv. Some lessons are also available on TVNZ OnDemand
from the Home Learning TV landing page.

There’s an email address for learners and their whānau to give feedback – info@HLTV.co.nz – and
learners can text free to 5811 to interact with the teachers and presenters.

Looking ahead to next week for Patiki families:

Next Monday 27th April and Tuesday 28th April there will be no Home Learning being sent out.
This is due to Anzac Day and Teacher Only Day. Home learning will reopen again on
Wednesday 29th April.

As we are moving into Level 3 next week, Tracy will be heading back to school to look after a bubble
of Waimairi children and Kirsty will remain at home with the Home Learners.

Home learning will continue as per normal, however, we do ask that you start to reduce the number
of Seesaw posts that you make. Please aim for 1 post each day and on a Friday you might like to
share 2 posts. This is so we can concentrate on supporting each other through Level 3 and keep
up our daily planning moving forward.

Thank you for your understanding with this. You have all been amazing and we do enjoy looking at
your learning through Seesaw.

Enjoy your last weekend under Level 4 (hopefully) and we will be in touch again next week.

Kirsty and Tracy
