This week’s challenges:
Random Acts of Kindness
A random act of kindness is something you do for someone else without being asked. You need to do one each day. Here are some suggestions:
Pick up your toys.
Tidy your room.
Tidy your brother or sisters room.
Ring your Grandparent and check they’re O.K.
Set the table.
Empty the dishwasher.
Project
Some people are keen to carry on their project from last week. That’s fine. Otherwise ...
Plan your project on the plan.
Here’s some Autumn ideas:
-Design a bin for collecting leaves each day ready to put into the green bin.
-Make a leaf headband for your teddy.
-Draw, sketch, colour an Autumn art scene for your bedroom wall.
-Or create your own idea just like we do in Patiki. Get those imagination’s flowing.

You will need to take a photo and upload this onto Seesaw at the end of the week.
PE/Health/Well-being-Daily
This activity links to our Maths learning. You will need some paper and someone to help you complete the activity.
Write or draw 2 events on a chart.
  1. Which activity do you think will take longer.
    For example:

10 jumps on the trampoline/ 10 jumps with a skipping rope.

Riding your scooter up and down your drive or riding your bike up and down your drive
  1. Compare active things you do to find out which takes longer. Add these to your chart.
What took longer? How do you know?

Writing-Daily

Leaf Rubbings

Explore your backyard and find lots of different shaped leaves. Dry them out inside and make some leaf rubbings.

You could compare size, shape, colour etc.

Can you describe your leaves in a story? You could use words that describe what the leaf looks like, feels like, smells like
E.g. I found a leaf that is yellow and shaped like a pumpkin. It is soft on one side and rough on the other side.

Share your writing on Seesaw or on paper.

Look up Storyline online and listen to your favourite story. Tell an adult what happened at the start, in the middle and at the end of the story.
Maths-Daily
In this activity we sequence the events in our day from when we wake up until when we go to bed. We make these into a wrap-around-book.
Resources:
A strip of paper divided into 5 sections
1. What is the first thing you do when you wake up.
The first thing I do is look out the window.
What do you do?
2.   Draw the first thing that you do on the first segment of the strip.
3.   Think about the last thing that you do each day. (In bed asleep)
4.   Draw this on the last segment.
5.   Think about the other things that you do during the day..
6.   Fill in the other pictures on your day chart.
7.   Join the ends of the strip to make a wrap-around-book.
